Description

Bronze bent-foot fibula mainly used in eastern Europe during the end of the 2nd and 3rd century A.D.

This nickname is due to the fact that there is a link between the down part of the catch plate and the upper part where it is coiled.

Genceva tells that these fibulae had been used in the eastern european territories between the reign of Elagabal (218 – 222) and the reign of Aurelianus (270 – 275).

Very well preserved. Original pin and spring. All functionnal.
