Some history

Passion of Time finds its roots in Robin Patureau’s growing passion for History, a passion that gradually led him to open this gallery in order to share it with as many people as possible.

Having started with numismatics since he was 5 years old, Robin already had a certain and almost innate penchant for “relics of our past”, which developed itself with an obvious interest in the history of our civilizations and our ancestors. He therefore naturally extended his centers of interest to classical antiquities. Isn’t numismatics just a particular prism of the latter? Since 2000, Robin has attended sales, compared, bought, resold, and browsed thousands of academic articles. He consulted thousands of excavation reports, and acquired a recognized expertise through his work.

Having also experience in financial markets, as a trader, Robin naturally bought and resold antiques to finance his own collection. Thus, he has expertise in both antiques and financial engineering by adapting the rules (reduced liquidity, portfolio turnover close to a private equity, valuation parameters), allowing those who wish it to double a passion with an investment.

Our purpose

Today, with the creation of Passion of Time through a family adventure, the objective is to share this passion for antiques and allow everyone to acquire a piece of history, according to your own choices and your own desires … We will be keen to offer you the antiquity that will make you vibrate.

We offer a diverse range of works of art from different eras, owned directly by the gallery or selected from other sellers. It is important to note that any object in deposit is verified as conforming to the description written beforehand by the seller, and shipped from our warehouse. We inspect each piece to verify that it satisfies an obvious interest to present or future history buffs.
