Description
Massive ceramic dish pot from Trypillian culture dating back to the 5th millenium B.C. It has been professionally reglued from large fragments. The outer part doesn’t exhibit any pigments but has some parts heavily earth encrusted and some others blackened with fire exposure. The global shape is rough with a thickness of more than 10 mm. On the inner side, it is decorated with typical friezes from this culture, including ears, grains and waves, with the use of graphite pigments. All these ornaments are still visible, although some are a bit faded.
