Description

Copper arrowhead with round point from the chalcolithic period (early 3rd millenium) originated from Anatolia and made from a thin copper sheet. It has two sharpened ailerons (one being lightly bent on 1 mm) in order to enhance the penetration power. These kind of arrows are almost always found in a poor state of preservation considering its small thickness (less than 1 mm).

This specimen is complete and shows a great copper patina with small verdigris spots at some places. Light scratches beacause of the use and resharpening.
