Description
Cylindrical stone chalcolithic “oculado” idol, found in the Los Milares area and dating back from the 4th millenium B.C. Through thin incisions, it features two sun eyes (circles with multiple rays), two eyebrows and four lateral lines which are typical of this kind of figurines. Its back has several chevron friezes that stack up roughly from the middle of its body to its top, symbolizing hair.
The surface is partially eroded and the grooves are encrusted with earth and sand. Some scarce shocks, but all details are clearly visible so thgis specimen stand at the same level as those exposed in the Madrid museum.
