Description
This head had been found in the Besançon’s area in the 60’s and dates back to the 2nd century A.D.
This is typical gallo-roman work of the begininng of the 1st to 2nd century A.D., especially regarding the carving of the face (a flat nose, a typical mouth) and its hairs.
This specimen get an exceptionnal state of preservation and appealing details.
This artefact is mounted on a stand.
Condition
Erosion and marble cristallization. Nearly perfect example showing all details without major lack of matter.

Old French private collection (found in the 60’s).
