Description

Basalt head from New Kingdom (1070 – 1550 B.C. / probably from the Amarna period ca. 1335 B.C.) carved in high-relief. The figure wears typical headdress and shows great facial details (eyebrows, eyes, a thin nose that has been a bit chipped or eroded during antiquity as well as a thin carved mouth).
