Description

Bronze heel axe with sub-triangular blade of Norman type cast with a loophole to ease the attachment to a shaft. These axes were molded and used cutting a natural bent wood shaft on the upper part. The bronze axe was then inserted and then attached with ropes around the shaft passing through the loophole to maintain its good positioning.

A green crusty patina present on one side, the other barely without. Some little shocks on the cutting edge.
