Description
Massive bronze socketed spearhead from middle bronze age (1200 – 1400 B.C.) that has been discovered in Cornwall.
The diamond shape is very similar to foliate points that were used during the late bronze age and iron age that looks like a leaf. Thus this could be a kind of prototype that has lead progressively to this kind of leaf shape for optimisation purpose. Edges have been sharpened.
Some stabilized cracks and professionnal restoration of the tip. A light shock to one edge. Very attractive green brown patina.
