Description

Tin coated crossbow fibula, dating from the early 3rd century A.D. It has an oignon’s tip with flat low end. It has no ognons on both sides. The upper part of the arch is ciseled and the catch plate is very short. The pin is original but broken (it can be glued back or welded. This is one of earliest crossbow fibula’s type.

Beautiful patina and remaining of coating allover the piece.
